AIT PERSONAL RETREAT IN 2008
With Asha Clinton, MSW, PhD and Catherine Folkers, MSW
Haven’t you noticed that, during AIT trainings, the breaks get progressively longer and longer
because we really treasure meeting and getting to know people with whom we have a lot in common?
Many of us feel that during seminars, there’s never enough time to socialize with one another or
to treat as much of our own material as we would like to treat. We all need time for ourselves, our
own healing, growth, and development, and for the making of new friends and acquaintances. We need
time for fun.
In order to meet these needs, AIT is offering a retreat in the summer of 2008. We chose the timing
of this retreat to offer the best of the beautiful Berkshire mountain summer, and because we know that
for many of you, the summer schedule is lighter than at other times of the year.
This retreat will take place at The Inn at the Shaker Mill Farm in Canaan, NY,
www.shakermillfarminn.com in a beautiful rural setting with mountains,
rushing streams, woods, waterfalls, and places to work, both outside and in. Meals will be provided. The retreat
begins with dinner on Thursday night and ends after lunch on Sunday, so you have plenty of time for a
leisurely trip home.
If you come with your AIT buddy, you can re-energize your buddy work in a whole new way. If you don’t
have one or if your buddy can’t make it, you can find a partner from within the group for the weekend.
If you’re looking for a buddy, this retreat is an excellent opportunity to find just the right person
to work with all year long. You’ll have plenty of space and time to interact with other AIT practitioners
in safety and confidentiality.
The schedule will be easygoing and the atmosphere will be one where the focus is on you rather than
on new material or treating your clients. There are no prerequisites other than having taken the Basics
seminar. Asha’s and Cathy’s help and guidance will be available to all throughout.
